Bishop White Seminary is located at the main entrance to the Gonzaga University campus and serves as the residence for college men who are discerning a vocation to diocesan priesthood.
The cooperative relationship between Gonzaga University and Bishop White Seminary expresses the Jesuit commitment to priestly formation as outlined in the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus and their Complementary Norms, "The education of priests, as a work of the highest value, is to be considered one of the chief ministries of the Society. Therefore, seminarians who attend our universities are to be cared for with special attention" (VII, 290).
Bishop White Seminary follows the formation directives outlined by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in the Program of Priestly Formation. Click on the links to the left to learn more about the four central pillars of priestly formation: human, spiritual, academic and pastoral.
